What is All-Natural and Organic Food?
All-natural foods are foods that contain only natural ingredients, ingredients that are produced by mother nature. All organic foods are all-natural, but not every all-natural food is organic. Organic food refers not so much to a particular food type, as to the way the food was grown or produced. Overall, organic produce farming applies natural standards to food production that protect the land and water supply.
Organic produce are fruits, vegetables and grains that are produced without the use of artificial pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). As some describe it, organic produce is grown as it has been grown since the dawn of time and agriculture. Organic proteins refer to beef, pork, fish and chicken products that are wild caught, or farm-raised without growth stimulants, antibiotics, animal by-products and hormones. Free-range describes animals that were fed a healthy diet with plenty of sunshine and were free to roam.
